Antraigues, a village of character

The first village in the Ardèche to be awarded the "Village de Caractère" label, Antraigues is perched on a rocky spur overlooking the River Volane, in stunning countryside. The best way to explore is by wandering through the paved streets, covered passageways and village square, which still ring to the voice of the famous singer-songwriter Jean Ferrat, who fell in love with the village and adopted it as his home, as a host of other artists have done.
