Originally opened in Grenoble in 1739, the Café de la Table Ronde is the second oldest café in France after Le Procope in Paris.
With its tin counter and 18th-century mirrors and chandeliers, the décor here is a marvellous reflection of the feel of this place of tradition and sociability, which was frequented by famous faces in the days when the café was the literary and artistic meeting place of the capital of the Dauphiné.
Come and take a table in this place alive with history and enjoy some regional and traditional specialities.
